Gathering In The Gap, Big Stone Gap, Virginia

I've been to this event the last two years (it just started in 2007).
Granted country/bluegrass/mountain isn't my "thing" but I can appreciate the talent of those that do it really well. I do have to say that the folks they have headlining are really good. 3 Fox Drive last year was fantastic - a ton of talent there.

They also have Whitetop Mountain String Band.. and they're ...um.... interesting.
(translation: nothing but mountain music and they're proud of it!) They are talented though.

Get tickets in advance or at the gate (they do charge - the showcased talent is hired and not cheap!)
